Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 15, 2026
MDTools is a static website. This privacy policy is short because we have very little to disclose — and that's by design.
The Short Version
- We don't use cookies
- We don't collect patient data
- We don't require accounts or sign-ups
- We don't have a backend server or database
- All calculations happen entirely in your browser
- We don't sell, share, or transmit any data you enter
How MDTools Works
MDTools is a collection of static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you use a calculator, every computation runs locally on your device. No data you enter — including any patient values — ever leaves your browser. There is no server-side processing, no database, and no API calls that transmit clinical data.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not track individual users
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not use fingerprinting
Cloudflare Web Analytics collects only aggregate, anonymized metrics such as page views and referrer information. It is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a cookie consent banner. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Cookies
MDTools does not set any cookies — not first-party, not third-party, not session cookies, not persistent cookies. None.
Local Storage
Some tools may use your browser's local storage to remember preferences (such as unit selections). This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
MDTools uses the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare may process standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent) as part of serving web pages. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — web font delivery. Google may log font requests. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or any other third-party analytics or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
MDTools is designed for healthcare professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
GDPR Compliance
For users in the European Economic Area: MDTools does not collect, store, or process personal data. Since we do not use cookies or track individual users, no consent mechanism is required under the GDPR ePrivacy Directive. Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above. Given our architecture — a static site with no data collection — significant changes are unlikely.
